Apartments Near Santa Fe
Yes, Gainesville is a college town, but if you head to the northwestern side of the city, you'll discover that it's full of peace and quiet.
What exactly qualifies as "Northwest Gainesville"?
The boundary begins at 8th Avenue and extends all the way to 39th Avenue. (If you're on I-75, you'll exit at 39th Avenue.) Inside this area, you'll find a number of families, professors, and Gainesville natives who want to live inside the city limits -- but don't want all of the hustle and bustle associated with the University of Florida. Northwest Gainesville is also home to a variety of unique places to shop, great restaurants, and tons of greenery. In fact, Northwest Gainesville is one of the most picturesque areas in the city!
Among these quintessential neighborhoods, you'll also find a number of students that attend Santa Fe College. In fact, there are three major student apartment communities within walking distance of the campus. If you're willing to hop in the car to get to class, you'll have another three dozen or so apartment communities to choose from!
What if you don't have a car -- but don't like any of the apartment communities right off campus? No problem!
The Regional Transit System of Gainesville serves the northwestern section of town, so it's an ideal way for Santa Fe students and teachers to get around. (For those of you keeping track, the most convenient routes in this part of town are 10, 43, 6, 8, 15, and 29.)
Best of all, though, it's easy to go from the serenity of Northwest Gainesville to the fun and excitement in the rest of the city. A quick drive south on I-75 will have you in Newberry, a great place to eat and shop (including the Oaks Mall). Or, keep on heading south to Archer, where you can enjoy everything that midtown and Downtown Gainesville have to offer.
Bottom line -- when you live in Northwest Gainesville, you get to enjoy the best of both worlds! Your apartment community will be serene and secluded, but not TOO secluded!
